This pumpkin cream cold foam recipe has the perfect amount of pumpkin and sweetness. It's so easy to make at home and it's the perfect dupe to the Starbucks Pumpkin cold foam for half the price. This recipe is one of my favorites as soon as we enter pumpkin season. If you love this homemade pumpkin cold foam then you will also love this easy chocolate cold foam and this strawberry cold foam.
Why you will love this recipe!
- Not overly sweet
- Makes the perfect fall weather cold foam for your iced coffee
- This cold foam recipe is half the cost than buying it at your favorite coffee shop
What is cold foam?
Cold foam is a milk base frothy topping that is similar to whipped cream, but not as stiff as whipped cream. Cold foam is more creamier and lightweight. It's commonly poured over iced coffees, cold brews and iced lattes. Cold foam can be easily made with a hand frother, hand mixer, blender or shaking a mason jar vigorously.
Ingredients you'll need
Pumpkin puree - The main ingredient for this cold foam. Make sure it's the 100% pumpkin and not the pumpkin pie mix
Brown sugar - to add some sweetness
Heavy cream - for that creaminess
Milk - extra creamy oat milk or any milk of choice that froths really well
Pumpkin Pie Spice - for that extra pumpkin flavor
Ground Cinnamon - 1 shake is all you need for topping
Coffee - cold brew, latte, or coffee of choice
Vanilla syrup - (optional) 2 pumps of store bought vanilla syrup to stir into the cold brew to make it a copycat Starbucks Pumpkin cream cold foam brew
Tools - hand frother, (my personal favorite) blender, mason jar with a lid or electric hand mixer works too
How to make Pumpkin Cold Foam
Step one - Start by adding the heavy cream, milk, pumpkin puree, brown sugar, and ground pumpkin pie spice in a small cup. Using a hand frother froth for about 30 seconds or until you have reached a thick frothy consistency and set aside
Step 2 In a tall glass add iced cubes and pour in cold brew or your favorite iced latte.
Step 3 Pour the pumpkin cold foam over your favorite iced coffee and sprinkle some ground cinnamon on top and enjoy!
Substitutions
Brown sugar - You can substitute with cane sugar, maple syrup or agave nectar.
Milk - I like using extra creamy oat milk, but you can use any milk of choice. You can skip the heavy cream, but the consistency won't be the same. Using both heavy cream and milk gives it that delicious frothy texture without being overly stiff like whipped cream. If you go the non-heavy cream route I suggest you use extra creamy nut milks and barista style milks as from my experience those milks tend to froth really well.
Pumpkin Pie Spice - You can use ground cinnamon instead or make your own pumpkin pie spice at home.
Coffee - not feeling like drinking cold brew with your cold foam? I like pouring this easy pumpkin cream foam over my favorite brown sugar shaken expresso, or iced lattes and iced americanos too! Any iced coffee of choice will really work perfectly.
Storing
For any cold foam leftovers you can store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days and froth again using a hand frother before serving.

Can this be used on hot chocolate?
Ana
Hi Becky, I've used with warm lattes and don't see a problem with pouring over hot chocolate. If you try it let me know how you like it - the combo of hot chocolate and pumpkin cold foam sounds delightful 🙂
