I’m Ana, the food photographer and recipe developer behind Espresso My Kitchen (EMK)
EMK was founded Spring 2015, was originally created as a place where I set out to espress my love and passion for cooking Mexican inspired dishes and the everyday simple meals while drinking lots of espresso on the side. I'm half Mexican so I grew up eating all the home cooked Mexican food. Here I share simple Mexican inspired recipes that do not require fancy ingredients and hours of prepping and my favorite coffee drinks along with some other refreshing drinks.
A little more about me:
I was born and raised in southern California and have always enjoyed cooking and photographing my food. After moving across different states - Charlotte, NC is where I call home now with my other half (Jerry) and our three adorable children.
I have a corporate background in digital advertising working with national and global brands while living in NYC. While I did enjoy working in digital advertising, my passion has always been photography and food. So, this blog is the perfect combination of both – sharing food I love while also photographing it.
