The different smoothie variations you can create are endless. This protein mixed berry smoothie in particular has been a favorite of mine for a long time because it’s not only, yummy, filling, healthy and refreshing, but is packed with anti-oxidants and protein.

    Why you'll love this smoothie

    • It's so easy to make and so refreshing
    • It's healthy, protein packed and satisfied your hunger

    Ingredients You'll Need

    • Frozen Mixed Berries
    • Kefir- Mixed berry kefir or plain or vanilla Greek yogurt works great too
    • Honey- for some added sweetness
    • ¼ banana - (optional) to balance the tart of the berries
    • Hemp hearts - for topping and added nutrients

    Kefir vs Greek yogurt

Both Kefir and Greek yogurt are great add-ons for smoothies. They are packed with protein, vitamins and minerals and are great probiotics. Kefir tends to be more tangy and sour than Greek yogurt, but mixed in with a smoothie it mellows down the tangy sour taste. Greek yogurt tends to be higher in fat, sugar and protein (depending on the type of Greek yogurt you use). Both are great options and have great health benefits.
