This Pico de Gallo recipe is the perfect topping for your tacos and burritos!

This recipe is a simple chunky mild salsa that scoops well with your favorite chips and can be an additional topping for your tacos, burritos, quesadillas and any other Mexican inspired dish of your choosing. One of my favorite things about this recipe is that it’s effortless to make.
All you need to do is chop all the ingredients, squeeze some lime and combine in a bowl. This is the perfect quick and simple recipe if you're looking to add that extra texture and color to your meals. Our favorite way to eat this chunky fresh salsa is in burritos and tacos, but lately have been loving this in my rice bowls.
Why I like this recipe:
- Fresh natural ingredients
- It’s healthy
- Completes the meal
- Super easy, no cooking!

This mild chunky salsa is not spicy unless you add extra jalapeños. If you are looking to add some spiciness to your meal in addition to pico de gallo you have to try this spicy red salsa that is a staple in our household - you can't go wrong with adding both!
This recipe makes the perfect serving for two, but you can always double the recipe for more!

Love pico! This is actually similar to what I call my fresh salsa, although mine is chopped a little finer. And instead of messing with jalapenos I add Tabasco!

I like the idea of just adding Tabasco! 🙂

Pico de gallo is so easy to make and it gives a nice added flavor to scrambled eggs and omelettes too!

Thanks Mary! I need to venture out of the tacos and burritos and also add to my eggs! YUM!
