Whole Wheat Pita Pizza
These whole wheat pita pizzas are a great healthier pizza alternative. They are low in calories and oozing in flavor.

- 4 Flat whole wheat pita breads
- 1 Teaspoon olive oil (optional)
- 1 8 oz can no salt added tomato sauce
- ¼ teaspoon minced garlic
- ½ tablespoon parsley flakes
- Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup part skim mozzarella
- Low-Sodium Turkey pepperoni
- 1 8 oz can pineapple chunks
Prevent your screen from going dark
Heat oven at 375 degrees
In a small bowl combine, tomato sauce, minced garlic, parsley and red pepper and set aside.
Lightly brush each pita with olive oil
Spread about 1-2 tablespoons of tomato sauce to each pita
Sprinkle cheese about ¼ cup of cheese per pita
Add turkey pepperoni, I used about 5-6 slices per pita
Add pineapple chunks to each pita
Place pitas on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until cheese is melted and crust slightly crispy
Cut into slices and enjoy!
