Ingredients

  • 3-5 chile de arbol (I use 3)
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 3 medium tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ tablespoon garlic salt (you can add more to your liking )
  • dash of ground oregano

Instructions

  • Boil tomatoes and let them cool
  • Saute garlic clove and chilis (remove stem and seeds before sautéing in medium-high heat on a skillet) in olive oil for about 3-5 minutes. Make sure they do not burn (you do not want your chilis to turn all black).
  • Add salt and rest of ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth. You can add some water to make the consistency a little more watery.
  • add more garlic salt to taste and serve

Notes

Note: If you like more of a milder taste do only 2 chiles. You can always add another ½ or medium tomato if the salsa is too spicy. You can find the Arbol chilis in most groceries stores international/ethnic food aisle
